The Croatian Ministry said in a statement that the Croatian Navy ship patrolled the Croatian territorial waters in the western Istria and did not enter Savudrija Bay..
"The 'Solta' patrol ship and helicopter Mi-8 MTV were searching and identifying ships in the waters of western Istria, on the Porec-Umag route, as part of the duties to control and protect the territorial seas and the Ecological and Fisheries Protection Zone," the ministry said in the statement.
The ministry stressed that the Croatian Navy ship did not enter Savudrija Bay.
Slovene minister Vajgl told Slovene Television on Thursday evening that the Croatian Navy ship entered Savudrija Bay and described this as an intolerable act and an incident.
Vajgl said he would inform European foreign ministers of the incident at a meeting which will be held in Luxembourg on Monday.
