Participants are discussing how to encourage social cohesion through social entrepreneurship.
In his opening address, Croatian Assistant Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship Minister Ivan Bracic underlined the importance of creating a positive entrepreneurial climate, which he said was not sufficiently developed in Croatia. He added this could be rectified by adapting the education system to the requirements of the economy.
The European Day of the Entrepreneur has been organised since 1999, at the recommendation of the European Commission. Zagreb is the 36th European host of the conference.
The event was organised by the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurs, the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and Vatroslav Lisinki Concert Hall, where it is taking place.
