LJUBLJANA, Sept 30 (Hina) - During his visit to Slovenia on Monday
and Tuesday, European Union High Representative for Common Foreign and Security
Policy Javier Solana did not wish to meet the president of the Slovene
People's Party, Janez Podobnik so Podobnik sent a letter to Solana informing
him of his view of the border incident in Plovanija.According to Ljubljana-based Delo daily, Podobnik claims that the
Slovene Foreign Ministry did not make it possible for him to meet Solana even
though there was time for a meeting.
Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl dismissed Podobnik's claims for the daily. He
said that Podobnik's wish to meet Solana was presented in the European
official, but Solana decided not to meet him. After that, Podobnik decided to
make a spectacular and unnecessary move - to send a letter and recordings of
his arrest to the Dutch Embassy in Ljubljana.
