According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, the average monthly net salary in July saw a nominal increase of 5.7 percent and a real increase of 3.8 percent compared to the same month last year.
In the first seven months of this year, the average net salary totalled 4,139 kuna (549 euros), which, compared to the same period last year, is 5.8 percent more in nominal terms and 3.8 percent more in real terms.
The highest average net salary in July was reported in air transport (7,627 kuna or 1,011 euros) and insurance and pension funds, not including compulsory insurance (6,052 kuna or 803 euros).
The lowest salary was reported in the leather processing industry - 2,229 kuna (296 euros).
The average gross salary in July totalled 6,043 kuna (801 euros), which is a nominal drop of 0.7 percent and a real drop of 0.3 percent in relation to June.
