Thus, deposits rose by 3.2 percent at a monthly rate, and by 8.5 percent at an annual rate, i.e by 7.7 billion kuna.
Foreign-currency deposits came to 75.8 billion kuna, but a stronger increase was registered in the kuna savings and time deposits when expressed in percentage terms. At the end of July, the latter category totalled 22.1 billion kuna, a rise of 5.8 percent as against June.
The share of foreign currency deposits in all the deposits fell from 80.4 percent in late July 2003 to 77.4 percent at the end of this July, and the share of the kuna deposits, which made up 19.6 percent in all the deposits in late July 2003, rose to 22.5 percent.
