The party said in a press release the rigged trial was a farce and the prosecution of political ideas, adding that those "responsible for the unlawful arrest and detention" of Jelavic should be prosecuted and punished.
Defence counsel for Jelavic, former defence minister Miroslav Prce, former Hercegovina Osiguranje insurance company director Miroslav Rupcic, former Hercegovacka Banka director Ivica Karlovic, and Franciscan father Ivan Sevo yesterday requested that foreign judges and prosecutors be excluded from the trial because the Bosnian Constitution stipulated that judicial officials must be Bosnian citizens.
The party concluded by saying that Jelavic had advocated restructuring Bosnia as the international community's high representative in the country was now doing.
