MOSTAR, Sept 22 (Hina) - Bosnian Muslims have never resorted to
retaliation or terrorism, although they were the greatest victim of genocide in
the 1992-1995 war, Bosnian Presidency Chairman Sulejman Tihic said in an
interview late Tuesday night with the Voice of America television network,
which was carried by the TV Mostar network.Tihic was commenting on Tuesday's speech by US President George W. Bush
at the session of the United Nations General Assembly, in which he called for
combating global terrorism.
Tihic said that Bosnian Muslims regarded terrorism as a completely wrong
method of fighting. "We think that terrorism is counterproductive because
innocent people get killed and that it is immoral because it does not resolve
problems but makes them more complicated," he said.
Tihic is due to address the UN General Assembly on Wednesday.
