The conference, organised by the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation, German parliamentarians, and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), pooled some 50 representatives from Germany and countries in the region, including representatives of the European Parliament and the Croatian parliament.
The main topics of the two-day meeting are the influence of parliaments on the development of economic policies, the relationship between economic development and privatisation, the strengthening of economic development through trans-border cooperation, and the contribution of parliaments to economic policies in the context of integration with the EU.
