The IDS vice-president told a news conference in Rijeka that only business people could help defuse tensions in relations between the two neighbours.
Asked about plans for the destruction of a wine cellar in the village of Sveti Juraj owned by IDS leader Ivan Jakovcic, Kajin said he supported the destruction of that building if it could not be legalised, and added that all illegally built facilities should be torn down.
Before today's session of the Istria County government, Jakovcic, who is County Prefect, said he had received a decision on the removal of the illegally built facilities in Sveti Juraj and added that he would not oppose the destruction of the cellar. He told reporters that "it is obvious that because of politically-motivated reasons he could not obtain ownership and other necessary licences" to legalise the building.
