The meeting brought together about 20 representatives of relevant ministries and scientists from Italy, Slovenia, Albania, Serbia and Montenegro, and Croatia, which are involved in the FAO Adriamed project.
The participants will try to define guidelines for the future management of sea resources, particularly fish stocks in the Adriatic Sea. Also under discussion will be an initiative by the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean to organise operational units in the Adriatic and the Mediterranean as economic units.
Over the past four years technical meetings of this kind have been held alternately in all the countries involved in the project.
