promotion of political, economic and technologicalcooperation in developing information society in the member states.
MARIBOR, Sept 10 (Hina) - Ministers in charge of telecommunications
and computer technology from Central European Initiative (CEI) member states
met in the Slovene city of Maribor on Friday for a two-day conference on the
promotion of political, economic and technological cooperation in developing
information society in the member states.Representatives of Slovenia, which holds the CEI presidency in 2004,
proposed that their country serve as a bridge in cooperation among
telecommunications firms and in promoting communications equipment in the
region.
The meeting also pooled 60 representatives of leading telecommunications
companies.
The Croatian delegation was led by the State Secretary of the Central
Office for e-Croatia, Miroslav Kovacic.
