ZAGREB/WARSAW, Sept 9 (Hina) - Croatia's European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic held talks in Warsaw on Thursday with leading Polish negotiators with the European Union about Poland's experience during EU entry talks.

Grabar-Kitarovic met with Polish foreign ministry state secretary Jan Truszcynski, who was the chief of Poland's team in negotiations with the EU, and the state secretary at the government's office for European integration, Jaroslaw Pietras.

Croatian European integration ministry spokeswoman Ivana Grgic said Poland's experience would be very valuable to Croatia, particularly in assessing how adjusted Croatian legislation is to EU standards and informing the public about the negotiating process.

Grgic added the Polish officials advised the Croatian delegation about how to include parliament, NGOs, other state institutions, trade unions and employers' associations in the negotiating process.

On Friday and Saturday, Grabar-Kitarovic is due to visit Krynica and take part in a panel debate on the EU and Southeast Europe as part of an economic forum.

The Croatian government today appointed Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul chief of the state delegation for negotiations on Croatia's admission to the EU and Grabar-Kitarovic his deputy as well as chief negotiator with the EU.
