ZAGREB, Sept 7 (Hina) - "This is our first meeting with representativesof the Islamic community and we will focus on the current state ofaffairs and if there are some problems we will try to solve them," thehead of the government's
commission for relations with religiouscommunities and Culture Minister, Bozo Biskupic, said on Tuesdaybefore a meeting of representatives of the government's commission andthe Islamic community in Croatia.
ZAGREB, Sept 7 (Hina) - "This is our first meeting with
representatives of the Islamic community and we will focus on the current state
of affairs and if there are some problems we will try to solve them," the head
of the government's commission for relations with religious communities and
Culture Minister, Bozo Biskupic, said on Tuesday before a meeting of
representatives of the government's commission and the Islamic community in
Croatia.There are no bigger problems, the president of the Islamic community,
Mufti Sevko Efendi Omerbasic said and added the talks would also tackle
cooperation.
We also have some wishes and plans, Omerbasic said.
The meeting started this morning in the Croatian Culture Ministry. On
behalf of the government the meeting is attended by Justice Minister Vesna
Skare Ozbolt, Defence MInister Berislav Roncevic, Finance Minister Ivan Suker,
secretary of the commission for relations with religious communities Franjo
Dubrovic, Assistant Justice Minister and state secretaries Jadran Antolovic,
Snjezana Bagic, Martina Dalic and Zelimir Janjic.
The delegation of the Islamic community will be led by Mufti Sevko
Omerbasic and members of the community, Osman Muftic, Mirsad Sebrenkovic and
Aziz Hasanovic.
