PULA, Sept 4 (Hina) - Pula County Court investigating judge Ivica
Stanic issued a decision on Saturday ordering that former Macedonian interior
minister Ljube Boskoski be remanded in custody for 30 days, Boskoski's lawyer
Rajko Brankovic told reporters in this northern Adriatic city.Boskoski was arrested in Bale near Rovinj on Tuesday on suspicion of
ordering the killing of seven illegal immigrants from Pakisatan and India in
2002.
Boskoski, who has dual Macedonian and Croatian citizenship, was arrested
after the Macedonian judiciary allowed Croatia to initiate criminal
prosecution against him.
Brankovic said he was disappointed with the judge's decision, because
there was no evidence against his client. He announced an appeal.
Judge Stanic also ordered an investigation into the case.
