SKOPJE, Aug 25 (Hina) - Croatian European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, who on Wednesday arrived in Skopje for a two-day visit, held talks with top Macedonian officials and was received by Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski.

After her talks with Prime Minister Hari Kosov and Deputy Prime Minister Radmila Sekerinksi, who is also in charge of Macedonia's efforts to come closer to the European Union, and Foreign Minister Ilinka Mitreva, Croatia's Grabar Kitarovic described the meetings as cordial.

The interlocutors agreed to intensify cooperation and exchange experiences regarding the two countries' efforts to join the EU.

The Croatian minister said her country was willing to help Macedonia that was expecting very soon a questionnaire from the European Commission on its preparedness to join the Union.

Minister Grabar Kitarovic and Deputy Prime Minister Radmila Sekerinski will on Wednesday afternoon depart for the Macedonian lake resort of Ohrid where they will continue the talks.

In Ohrid they will also attend a working meeting of the Central European Initiative on Thursday.
