BELGRADE, Sept 1 (Hina) - U.S. Ambassador in Belgrade Michael C. Polthas said that Bosnian Serb war-time General Ratko Mladic, who iswanted by the U.N. war crimes tribunal in The Hague, is on Serbia andMontenegro territory, Belgrade's
electronic media said on Wednesday.
BELGRADE, Sept 1 (Hina) - U.S. Ambassador in Belgrade Michael C. Polt
has said that Bosnian Serb war-time General Ratko Mladic, who is wanted by the
U.N. war crimes tribunal in The Hague, is on Serbia and Montenegro territory,
Belgrade's electronic media said on Wednesday.Polt was quoted in Belgrade's English-language monthly Cord as saying
the United States believed Mladic was in Serbia and Montenegro and that the
decision on whether he would end up in The Hague depended solely on Serbia's
government.
The ambassador urged the authorities to do everything that was necessary
to arrest and extradite Mladic since this was their responsibility.
