Rasim Ljajic was quoted by the local paper Politika's issue on Wednesday as saying that he could not tell who would be the new indictee but he knew that the indictment would not be issued against any active military or police officer and that it would not cover the events in Kosovo in 1990s.
Ljajic reiterated that "in the case of extradition of Ratko Mladic, all other issues in cooperation with the tribunal would become less important".
"Virtually, the four generals of army and police, who are also wanted by the Hague tribunal, and all of us are hostages of Mladic," Ljajic said adding the resolution of the problem of Mladic, the war-time Bosnian Serb commander indicted for genocide in Bosnia-Herzegovina, would help Belgrade to get some cases to be processed by local courts.
Ljajic also warned that the worst variant would be the refusal of the four generals, indicted for war crimes in Kosovo, to surrender voluntarily.
