Romanian President Ion Illiescu said inBelgrade on Monday.
BELGRADE, Aug 30 (Hina) - Western Balkan countries must aspire to
join Euro-Atlantic structures as soon as possible and the condition for that is
the strengthening of regional stability, Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo
Djukanovic and Romanian President Ion Illiescu said in Belgrade on Monday.This is why the authorities must solve the remaining security issues in
the region and this primarily means the issue of Kosovo.
The Romanian president said that joining Euro-Atlantic structures was a
common strategic goal of Romania and Serbia and Montenegro and that the process
was a favourable frameworks for the normalisation of international situation
in the countries in the region.
