Police chief Milenko Milicevic on Friday dismissed the report as "an arbitrary and unsubstantiated journalistic interpretation."
"This report is not true, because there are no organisations in the District of Brcko that are connected with terrorism. What is particularly incredible is that the newspaper article refers to a group of ten terrorists, including as many as seven women," Milicevic said.
He went on to say that this was not the first time that his district had been accused of links with terrorist organisations. He cited recent newspaper reports of training camps for Mujaheddin in the village of Maoca.
"We also rejected those newspaper articles, because the truth is that there are no terrorist training camps in the District of Brcko. If there were, the police would respond immediately with appropriate action," Milicevic said.
