According to the newspaper, a group of seven women and three men is already in Rome, having reportedly arrived from Brcko in northeastern Bosnia. Even though control on Italian-Slovene border crossings was stepped up after the carabinieri warning, it appears the terrorists have already reached the Italian capital, supposedly by ship or plane.
The explosive intended for the attack on the Vatican is reportedly already in Italy. According to Corriere Della Sera, the attack is expected to take place during a service on St. Peter's Square.
Italian police are looking for the terror group from Brcko. The director of the Italian secret service SISDE, Mario Mori, has said the Italian carabinieri tip-off is quite credible, but Interior Minister Giuseppe Pisanu has said Italy is still not in the same danger Spain was before the March 11 bombings in Madrid.
