The head of the new agency's steering committee, Deputy Prime Minister and Agriculture Minister Petar Cobankovic, said that the state owned 15 public companies and there were 56 companies in which the state held a 50 percent stake or more.
In addition, there are 30 companies in which the state holds stakes ranging between 30 and 49.99 percent, and the state holds an interest below 25 percent in 346 companies, according to Cobankovic.
The state owns more than two million hectares of forest, over 550,000 hectares of farmland and 42.2 million square metres of construction land.
According to figures, the value of the state's shares in companies and ownership in real estate without the forests and farmland is some EUR 30 billion, Cobankovic added.
The registry of state assets is being compiled and will be available on the agency's web site.
The government sent to parliament a bill for ratification of an additional protocol to the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) further liberalising trade in agricultural produce and food with Albania, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, and Serbia.
Croatia's trade with the CEFTA countries rose by 4 percent on the year to EUR 2.5 billion in 2010, Economy Minister Djuro Popijac said.
