"I am glad and happy to see that somebody from Croatia has been assigned such a high position in NATO. I am glad to see that she (Grabar Kitarovic) has been given this recognition," the president said on Wednesday during his visit to Split.
He said that it was early to say who would succeed the current Croatian ambassador in Washington, adding that consultations should be held on the matter.
