ZADAR, May 1 (Hina) - The central Adriatic city of Zadar was this week the host of a regatta for 90 business people from Hungary organised by the British Columbia Company with the assistance of the Boating Club from Biograd.#L# The Hungarian delegation included owners of reputable companies, concerns and media, actors and artists who had the chance to become acquainted with Croatia's customs and tourist offer. British Columbia Company director Laszlo Dinya has said he could have staged the regatta anywhere in the world but chose Croatia because of its unique geographical position, the beauty of its coast, perfect sailing conditions, and the huge and as yet unexploited possibility of economic cooperation between Hungary and Croatia. The head of the Croatian National Tourist Board office in Hungary, Marin Skenderovic, has said Hungary, which joined the European Union on Saturday, is Croatia's sixth largest tourist generating market. According to official data, 360,000 Hungarians vacationed in Croatia last year, accounting for 1.9 million overnights. Skenderovic has stressed the need of developing the increasingly popular boating tourism. (Hina) ha
