The exhibition dedicated to the philately of Japan will be staged until 9 April.
During the event, donations will be collected also in the HP for the areas of Japan hit by the recent disastrous earthquake and tsunami.
Croatian Post has already launched a campaign of support to Japan, inviting children and youth in Croatia to send letters of support to their peers in Japan.
"Letters expressing support to Japanese children who are going through extremely difficult times can be written in the form of a message, drawing, haiku poem or a Japanese symbol. Another goal of this campaign is to provide financial support to the affected. The postage rate for letters weighing up to 50 grams in Croatia is HRK 3,10, and Croatian Post will donate HRK 2,50 for each received letter to the Red Cross in Japan. The rest of the funds collected in this way (HRK 0,60 per letter) will be used to mail the letters to Japan, also to the Red Cross," the HP reported on its web site
