services.

telephone operator and a second fixed telephone operator would reduce

The two mobile phone operators now charge twice as much for their
services than is the case in Slovenia, Tonci Tadic of the Party of
Rights (HSP) said during a debate on amendments to the
Telecommunications Act.
Tadic recalled that no tender had been issued yet for a new fixed
telephony licence and that competition should be enabled in order to
cut prices.
The Parliament concluded its session with a debate on a proposal by
the coalition of the People's Party and the Alliance of Primorje and
Gorski Kotar to amend the Bankruptcy Act so as to ensure a better
financial status of workers if their company files for bankruptcy.
The session will continue on Thursday when deputies are expected to
discuss, among other things, a report by the Ombudsman.
