ZAGREB, April 23 (Hina) - Croatian Catholic bishops are glad that Croatia has obtained a positive opinion from the European Commission on its application for European Union membership and thank members of the Croatian government who
have worked the most in this very important process for Croatia, the head of the Media Council of the Croatian Bishops' Conference (HBK), Rijeka Archbishop Ivan Devcic, said on Friday after the end of the HBK's 28th plenary session.

Croatia has obtained a positive opinion from the European Commission
on its application for European Union membership and thank members of
the Croatian government who have worked the most in this very
important process for Croatia, the head of the Media Council of the
Croatian Bishops' Conference (HBK), Rijeka Archbishop Ivan Devcic,
said on Friday after the end of the HBK's 28th plenary session.#L#
Devcic relayed the position of Catholic bishops who believe that the
European Union is not perfect, but that it is a reality in which the
Croatian people must look for its future.
