ZAGREB, March 30 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic has received a letter from his U.S. counterpart George W. Bush focusing on the fight against terrorism in the world, Mesic's Office said on Tuesday.

Bush says in the letter that as efforts to help the Iraqi people in
building a free society continue, it is important not to lose sight of
the progress made in Afghanistan and the global war on terrorism. He
underlines that the United States people is honoured to enjoy
Croatia's friendship and support in those efforts.
The U.S. President also says that peace and freedom call for courage
in opposing those who use terror and fear to enslave the world.
Bush concludes by saying that the world is still dangerous but that it
has been made safer through determination to stamp out terrorism and
repression and replace them with freedom and hope.
