A member of the broadcaster's team which today returned from Kosovska
Mitrovica, where it was covering the recent bloody clashes in Kosovo,
by chance spotted a device under the team's van. The bomb did not go
off, as confirmed by the police.
B92 said the bomb planting represented a crude attempt to suppress
media freedoms. The statement underlined the significance of objective
reporting and protecting journalists, and urged Serbian authorities to
investigate the case and punish the perpetrators.
