BELGRADE, March 24 (Hina) - Representatives of Bosniak institutions, parties and nongovernmental organisations in Serbia-Montenegro signed in Novi Pazar on Wednesday a joint declaration condemning the burning of mosques in Belgrade and Nis, the attacks on all other religious buildings, and most vehemently slamming the recent violence in Kosovo, Belgrade's Radio B92 reported.#L# The declaration voices concern about the renewed hate speech in public statements and the media, and says the anti-Islamic campaign aimed at equating Islam and terrorism is intolerable. The Bosniaks of Serbia-Montenegro never were nor will ever be a destabilising factor, they are a constructive factor on the road towards democratisation and European integration, reads the declaration. Sandzak Mufti Muamer Zukorlic told Radio B92 after signing the declaration that Serbia-Montenegro's authorities were obliged to publicly guarantee that the lives, property, national, religious and cultural identity of Bosniaks would be safe. Mosques in Belgrade and Nis were set on fire on the night between March 17 and 18 in protests over the clashes in Kosovo. (Hina) ha
