ZAGREB, March 18 (Hina) - The information Globus weekly published in its latest issue in connection with the kidnapping of Tomislav Zagorec was not leaked by the police, the Office for the Prevention of Corruption and Organised Crime (USKOK), the State Prosecutor's Office or any other state institution, a meeting in Interior Minister Marijan Mlinaric's cabinet concluded on Thursday.#L# Present apart from Mlinaric were top ministry officials, chief state prosecutor Mladen Bajic, USKOK head Zeljko Zganjer, and the new head of the Counterintelligence Agency, Josko Podbevsek. According to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, Globus published in this week's issue the statements given to the police by three men arrested for the kidnapping of retired general Vladimir Zagorec's son, in which they claim the mastermind behind the abduction was Zagreb businessman Hrvoje Petrac, whom USKOK yesterday cited as a suspect in the kidnapping. The ministry statement says that Globus published the statements after they became available to all parties involved in the case, including the suspects and their lawyers. The statement adds that much before an investigation was launched against him, Petrac was not seen at familiar addresses, and that competent bodies are intensively looking for him. Six men were arrested in connection with the Zagorec kidnapping in early March. Among them was Petrac's son Novica. They and another three who are still at large have been charged with association in a criminal organisation founded to kidnap people. (Hina) ha sb
