They were suspected of embezzling funds of a party foundation called
"Zaklada hrvatskog drzavnog zavjeta".
Zagreb County Court president Bozidar Rumenjak told Hina that the
panel of judges dismissed the prosecution's request as groundless. An
appeal against the panel of judges decision may be lodged with the
Supreme Court.
The Zagreb office of the State Prosecutor charged the three men of
embezzling 12.3 million kuna which expatriates paid into bank accounts
for Croatia's defence in the 1990s.
