A leader of the NGO "Enough of Wars", Vesna Terselic, told a news
conference on Thursday opinion polls indicated that some 84 percent of
Croatians opposed the possibility of Croatian soldiers taking part in
the military mission in Iraq.
Another representative of the NGO, Hrvoje Juric, said that Saturday
was the last day when citizens could sign a petition against Croatian
units' deployment in Iraq. So far, the petition has been signed by
some 10,000 people.
