"The government has harshly condemned the act of violence in the Zadar
hinterland," Macek told reporters, commenting on the attack on the
Serb returnee in Zemunik Gornji.
Macek said the Interior Ministry was doing all it could to identify
the perpetrators. He reiterated that the government would stick to its
policy of the restitution of property to all those who had to flee
their homes because of the war.
Serb returnee Nikola Javor was attacked in his home early Tuesday
morning by two unidentified men. The 74 year-old Serb returned to
Zemunik in 1996.
