ZAGREB ZAGREB, Feb 27 (Hina) - The Law on the Right of Access to Information, which went into force less than a month ago, should be amended, it was said at the opening of a two-day international conference on the law, which was
organised by Transparency International Croatia (TIH) and the US Bar Association.

which went into force less than a month ago, should be amended, it was
said at the opening of a two-day international conference on the law,
which was organised by Transparency International Croatia (TIH) and
the US Bar Association.#L#
Apart from amendments to the law, which was adopted by the parliament
last October and went into force on February 1, Croatian and foreign
experts will discuss the experiences of other transition countries in
adopting and implementing this kind of law.
Conclusions and concrete proposals from the conference will be
included in amendments to be forwarded to the parliament by 17
non-government organisations from the coalition "The Public Has the
Right to Know".
