ZAGREB, Feb 26 (Hina) - The Justice Ministry's department in charge of cooperation with international criminal courts has stated that it has no information that new indictments against generals Ivan Cermak and Mladen Markac can be expected to be sent by the UN war crimes tribunal in next two to three weeks. It also has no information on the context of amendments to the tribunal's indictment against the fugitive general Ante Gotovina.#L# Responding to an article a Croatian daily issued on Thursday under the headline "Government Wants To See Cermak and Markac Surrender to The Hague', the ministry's department said that the only official information it had was the public statement of the Hague-based tribunal's Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte who said that she had submitted the amended Gotovina indictment to the judge to confirm it. The ministry described the article as the result of speculation. Citing a state official who spoke on condition of anonymity, Jutarnji list daily said the indictments against Cermak and Markac would arrive in Zagreb in two to three weeks and the two are expected to turn themselves in to the tribunal. The same source claimed that some sections of the Gotovina indictment were dropped out and some were toned down. (Hina) ms sb
