BELGRADE, Feb 14 (Hina) - Croatia's government now gives broad

Church, too, and giving it material help, the Serb Orthodox Eparch
for Dalmatia was quoted by a Serbian daily as saying.#L#
"As a man and a dignitary of the Serb Orthodox Church, I am satisfied
with what Croatian authorities are doing for local Serbs. Therefore,
having in mind primarily my eparchy, I would like to tell those who
are still refugees: the situation is really improving, and I hope that
you have realised that you should return to your homes," Dalmatian
Eparch Fotije said in an interview with Saturday's issue of the
Vecernje Novosti daily.
"Such a message is very important because of those who -either
intentionally or unintentionally -- particularly through the media,
are creating a wrong picture about (im) possibility of living in home
towns and villages," he said
Asked about the relations between the Serb Orthodox Church and the
Roman Catholic Church, Eparch Fotije said that both sides were trying
to ensure "that the relations may be fair and tolerant, based on
evangelical principles", and went on to say that meetings with
(Catholic) Bishops of Sibenik and Zadar were frequent at which the two
parties discussed problems openly.
