BELGRADE, Feb 5 (Hina) - Serbian Radical Party vice president Tomislav Nikolic on Thursday called on Democratic Party of Serbia leader Vojislav Kostunica to run against him in the next parliamentary elections so that "the people of
Serbia can show what they want".

Nikolic also called on the newly elected parliament speaker Dragan
Marsicanin to put on parliament's agenda a bill of amendments to the
law on the election of the president of the republic or immediately
call new presidential elections.
Nikolic said the Radicals had drafted a new law repealing the
requirement that more than 50 percent of eligible voters had to go to
the polls in the first round of a presidential ballot.
Three recent presidential elections because of a low turnout. The
parliament speaker also performs the duties of acting president.
Serbia's parliament resumes its constituent session on Friday, when it
is due to amend the Rules of Procedure, elect a sixth deputy speaker
and a parliament secretary as well as set up parliamentary
committees.
