ZAGREB, Feb 2(Hina) - The deputy head of the Zagreb Clinical Hospital, Dr. Rajko Ostojic, on Monday handed over to Anto Nobilo, attorney for General Tihomir Blaskic, a report with his opinion on Blaskic's health condition and medical
treatment.

Blaskic has been in the detention centre of the Hague-based UN war
crimes tribunal (ICTY) since April 1996, when he surrendered to the UN
court. His health problems started a year ago, with bleeding in the
gastrointestinal tract, which resulted in anemia and a feeling of
weakness.
The tribunal insisted that Blaskic's medical documentation not be made
available to public.
The tribunal's trial chamber sentenced Blaskic to 45 years in prison,
finding him guilty, on the basis of his command responsibility, of
crimes committed against local Muslims in central Bosnia during the
Croat-Muslim conflict. The appeals procedure is under way.
