of prevention of conflict of interest.#L#
The club of the HDZ deputies said it was in favour of the postponement
of the appointment in order to show that it was willing to reach
agreement with the opposition.
A heated debate on the composition of the commission was caused by
different opinions on how many members of the opposition and how many
members from the ruling majority should be included in the commission.
In addition, it was not clear whether a proposed member, Ratko Grujica
from the Independent Democratic Party (SDSS) should be treated as a
representative of the opposition or of the ruling majority in light of
the fact that SDSS was treated as part of the ruling majority in the
set-up of other parliamentary working bodies.
The Sabor will resume its session on Friday.
