VIENNA, Jan 15 (Hina) - Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy on Thursday addressed the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna for the first time in his capacity as the chairman of this international organisation, after Bulgaria took
over OSCE presidency from the Netherlands.

Thursday addressed the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna for the first
time in his capacity as the chairman of this international
organisation, after Bulgaria took over OSCE presidency from the

Ambassador Passy spoke about the priorities of the Organisation for
Security and Cooperation in Europe during Bulgaria's presidency in
2004. In this context, he mentioned the fight against organised
trans-border crime, trafficking in human beings and narcotics, and the
maintenance of stability and security in the 21st century.
He also announced the struggle against all forms of intolerance, and
pointed out the importance of continuing the OSCE engagement in
south-eastern European countries.
