ZAGREB UNIVERSITY AND MAYO FOUNDATION SIGN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

ZAGREB, Jan 14 (Hina) - Zagreb University and the Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation. The document, signed #L# in the Zagreb University hall, will encourage "two-way" cooperation in the education of doctors and experts in biochemistry. The memorandum was signed by the university's rector, Helena Jasna Mencer, and the head of the foundation's international cooperation committee, Thomas J. McDonald, as well as by Croatian scientist Stanimir Vuk-Pavlovic, who has been working at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, for twenty years. Present at the signing ceremony was also U.S. Ambassador Ralph Frank and Croatia's Education and Science Minister Dragan Primorac. (Hina) ms sb
