This means the defusion of the situation and the reintroduction of
calm in public health, Deputy Prime Minister Andrija Hebrang, who is
also Health Minister, said at the government's session.
In this context he slammed the former authorities for having imposed
the compulsory work order, labelling this as a grotesque decision.
The compulsory work order was introduced after doctors went on strike
last year.
Hebrang believes that the reason for the strike was a lack of social
dialogue. The cause of the strike was not the request for higher
salaries but a lack of social dialogue, as the provisions of the then
collective agreement ceased to be valid and no new agreement was
concluded, he explained.
