VARAZDIN, Jan 5 (Hina) - Asked by reporters about latest summonses from the UN war crimes tribunal sent to Croatian officers who were called to be interviewed, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said on Sunday that "politics will not
interfere in that. The Hague-based UN tribunal has been set up in line with the UN Security Council's resolution. Croatia has the constitutional law on cooperation with the Hague-based tribunal and we shall behave in compliance with these documents. We would like to place cooperation with the tribunal within legal rather than political frameworks."

from the UN war crimes tribunal sent to Croatian officers who were
called to be interviewed, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said on Sunday

Sanader, who was on a visit to the northern city of Varazdin, was also
asked to comment on the implementation of the law on the ban on the
work of large shops on Sunday. The law went in force on 1 January.
"The law must be to the benefit of citizens, and it is necessary to
organise its implementation very well. The government will follow the
implementation of the law, and then will see whether something should
be changed. There is no perfect law and I am waiting for a report of
the state inspectorate," PM Sanader told reporters.
After his talks with Varazdin Mayor Ivan Cehok and County Perfect
Zvonimir Sabati, PM and his associates attended a concert which
'Ambassade Orchestra' from Vienna played in the Varazdin-based
Croatian National Theatre last night.
