ZAGREB, Jan 3 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic sent telegrams to his French and Egyptian counterparts, Jacques Chirac and Hosni Mubarak respectively, on Saturday, extending condolences on his and Croatian citizens' behalf
over the accident which occurred near Egypt's resort of Sharm el-Sheikh earlier today, when a plane crashed into the Red Sea, claiming the lives of all 148 passengers and crew, Mesic's Office said in a statement.

Prime Minister Ivo Sanader sent letters of condolences on his and the
government's behalf to his French and Egyptian counterparts,
Jean-Pierre Raffarin and Atef Ebeid respectively, while Foreign
Minister Miomir Zuzul did the same to his French and Egyptian
counterparts, Dominique de Villepin and Amhed Maher El Sayed
respectively.
