"There is no democracy without the media. The right to information is one of the tenets of democracy," the premier said on that occasion.
Speaking of Croatia's integration with the European Union, he said that Croatia's orientation towards Europe and its EU entry talks would to a great extent change its image, adding that this could also encourage the necessary changes.
He said that one should be a Euro-realist and be aware that EU member-states also had problems, but that their entry into the Union had produced benefits for each of them.
