I do not in any way perceive yesterday's address by President Stjepan Mesic as a conflict and we communicate as usual and we shall continue to communicate in a creative atmosphere just as we have, Sanader told reporters after a CEFTA meeting in Zagreb on Tuesday.
Mesic said in his televised address to the nation on Monday that he was not duly informed of a draft agreement which the Sanader cabinet was preparing with Austria on the restitution of property confiscated from ethnic Austrians by communist authorities in Croatia after 1944.
Sanader said today that he had put forward a proposal to Mesic that Justice Minister Vesna Skare Ozbolt notify him of the matter in detail.
Mesic also said that the draft agreement could set a dangerous precedent.
