The Croatian Justice Ministry has not received an official note from the Greek authorities either.
"We only have a verbal information, but the Greek court's decision is expected because the Justice Ministry has taken all the necessary steps for the extradition to occur," said Justice Minister Vesna Skare-Ozbolt. She expects her Greek counterpart to sign a decision on the extradition soon, after which the how and when of the surrender will be arranged.
After the Greek Supreme Court's decision Petrac will no longer have the right to appeal in Greece and his only chance will be filing a suit before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, which would not postpone the extradition, something Petrac's Greek attorney Georges Alfantakis has announced.
One of Petrac's Croatian attorneys, Marijan Pedisic, said on Croatian Radio he did not think Petrac would be extradited in the next two months at least because he had to serve the five-month jail term he was given in early September for illegally entering Greece and holding a false passport.
