Sanader was responding to the statement made by President Stjepan Mesic on Sunday, that the situation in the country had become "worrying".
"In my opinion the security situation is not worrying," Sanader told reporters at government headquarters after meeting leaders of the City of Osijek.
The prime minister said that one of the bills that had been sent to Parliament would help considerably reduce the number of robberies. He added that the bill was drafted on the basis of the experience of EU countries.
