STARIGRAD, Nov 9 (Hina) - The completion of the removal of mines
and explosive devices from three mountain tracks was officially marked by a
ceremony in the offices of the management of the Paklenica National Park on the
southern foot of Mount Velebit on Wednesday. The removal of mines
was carried out by 25 demining specialists. The entire operation cost 1.2
million kuna (approx. 162,000 euros), which was ensured by the Principality of
Monaco, the Italian government and the UNHCR.
During the ceremony, Croatian authorities thanked the donors'
representatives for the funds.
