The chairwoman of the Stability Pact's Gender Equality Task force, Sonja Lokar, said that much had been done to include women in parliamentary work in Southeast European countries in recent years.
She said it was now necessary to work on achieving equality in the economy, notably in adjusting the family rights and work commitments of men and women.
The meeting was attended by representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, and Serbia and Montenegro.
